Summary: Neither Jehan nor Grantaire have ever claimed to understand the intricacies of death, time, or humanity. In some ways the ghosts Jehan sees and emotions Grantaire mirrors unknowingly are a comfort, when they have only one another to lean on (that might, perhaps, veer towards unhealthy). As they try to navigate shared and phantom traumas, Jehan’s memories of his past life and Grantaire’s lack of them, mental illnesses, and the strange world of the supernatural, there’s the added complication of the abrupt reintroduction of Les Amis de l’ABC.
